apparently there's quite a bit of controversy over swedish artist
sanna dullaway. sanna recently colorized some of the world's most iconic black + white images. while yes, there is no substitute for the images in their original form ... i wouldn't go so far as calling her work
blasphemous.
THE GIRL'S GOT TALENT. talk about a way to launch a business restoring and colorizing old photos. what's that saying? "any press is good press"!?!

Wow! I love them all!
i am blown away by the talent. i mean i can retouch a zit here or there. and make wade's baby blues pop. but this took major skill (not to mention time). of course, the originals are icons as b/w.
Holy technicolor! She is GOOD!!!
Ahhh! Lincoln just looks weird in Blue! These are amazing though. The look like moder actors recreating the photo but I know it's not!
That's amazing! I have to say I think Lincoln is my favorite. Of course, the b/w images will always be the icons, but sometimes I feel like these larger than life characters are people you KNOW were real but SEEM like fiction. The color makes them seem so much more real to me...
Hey! I found you through the comment challenge :) I don't think that the colour photographs are blasphemous as such, but I don't like them as much. I feel like the colour takes some of the romanticism away. Although, I do like Lincoln in blue!
