a couple of weeks ago while watching the early show, the diy network's matt blashaw was featuring old furniture w/ new purpose including a couple of adirondack chairs made from pallets. while we don't currently have enough room in our itty-bitty apartment for a full pallet daybed, we definitely could use a bit more seating in our living room!
a few hours in the inlaws' garage later ... and we have a cute little pallet masterpiece of our very own:
the final result:
{i found this cute little ruffle pillow - perfectly opposite the ruggedness of the chair - at tj maxx for under $10.}
unfortunately i didn't document the process quite as well as i had planned to. i found this ridiculously helpful video AFTER we finished.
we still plan to stain our little chair - or age the wood (have you aged anything w/ vinegar and steel wool?). but i couldn't wait any longer to share. i'll post more pics as soon as we're finished!
