part 1 was a bit time consuming. i'm a bit of a perfectionist - so it prob took me about an hour and a half to glue all the moss to my monogram. part 2, on the other hand, took about 10 minutes max. (i felt a little silly that i made this a 2-parter.) that said ... have a 30 min lunch run (like me) ... you can squeeze in the final steps to this DIY and eat:
supplies:
* your moss-covered monogram
* 2 shades of green acrylic paint (i used americana avacado dip & hauser light green)
* 1 craft sponge
* plastic disposable plate
* 2ft of ribbon
* glue gun (or tacky glue and patience!)
1// dip the sponge into one of the shades of green ... then blot off the excess paint on your plastic plate. then dab the loaded sponge onto random sections of your monogram. repeat w/ the other shade of green (or a mix of the both) ... until the moss looks bright and fresh.
a view of the new fresh monogram (aka better lighting!):
2 // once the paint dries, fold your ribbon in half. then glue the folded end to the back of your monogram.
hang and enjoy! :)
